Shoulder Injuries

We constantly require the use of our upper limbs and hands to allow us to complete daily tasks such as reaching, lifting, pulling, and pushing loads. The shoulder joint is complex and is the most mobile joint in the body. Being such a complex and mobile joint, the shoulder is susceptible to a range of injuries and conditions. Some common shoulder injuries are shoulder impingement syndrome, osteoarthritis, tendinopathy, bursitis, muscle and ligament strains and tears, and many more.

Here at Guildford Physiotherapy Sports Centre, our physiotherapists are experienced in addressing a range of shoulder injuries which can arise from overuse, or trauma such as sports or work-related injuries. Physiotherapy treatment may include manual therapy to improve muscular tightness and joint stiffness as well as retraining your shoulder muscles to correct imbalance and build strength and stability in your shoulder.

Our physiotherapist will perform a comprehensive assessment of your shoulder which will allow them to accurately diagnose the cause of shoulder pain or the next course of action, as well as create a detailed treatment plan focused on getting you better.
